Soulless by Gail Carriger

I ADORED this novel. At first it seemed like your average victorian novel nothing new, but then it through vampire at me. which drew my attention. I couldn't get enough of Alexa, she's so sassy. She was not having any of that vampires garbage. She put him in his place, and rather quickly. And the small touches within the novel :“We have not even been introduced!”, when he came at her throat. And the passage: Miss Tarabotti was most distressed by this. She was particularly fond of treacle tart and had been looking forward to consuming that precise plateful , when he fell on her tart. The little bits like that are what made the novel exciting to read!  On another note, this world in general seems like....animeish? (Cowboy bebop vibes a bit in regards to action) Harry Potterish? It Just felt super otherworldly, and that anything could happen in this world.
