Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman

In Anansi Boys it gives me more of "Gods live among us vibe". Although when you think of Gods you think of the typical holy Jesus Christ type of man who is super fit and expels " I am made of light" as soon as they walk into the room. NOT a man who hangs out at a bar, oogles at blonde chicks, while trying to impress them with "war stories" which aren't real, parties then night away on the dance floor. Then has a stoke and dies, but not before he grabs lands on one of the blond girls bozzongas. Actually I take that back. He does expel god qualities, but they're more like Zeus than Jesus.  A demi-god Zeus (Because gods dont die)(I could be wrong though)
