Harry potter and the Sorcerer's Stone By J.K Rowling

In regards to Harry Potter in its challenges or moral complexities. It caters to the child who got abused. It resinated in me how awful Harry's aunt and uncle treated him (it was apparent in the movie, but even more highlighted in the book) Like I know that your sister got killed and you were jealous or her growing up, because she was a witch. But that doesn't mean you can treat your nephew like garbage because of a petty grudge! So Harry had to practically fend for himself, so his snarky attitude that he has time to time is very understandable (plus you know hes a teenager so he's going to be moody by default)
